Our aim at Dinnington First School is to provide a happy, stimulating environment where children will be encouraged to co-operate wholeheartedly with other children and staff who will help them to develop fully their individual, intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual potential.

The school is a Community Co-educational First School. The building has a large hall and adjoining dining area. We have six classrooms for Key stages 1 & 2. The Foundation Stage Unit for Nursery and Reception age children consists of three classrooms and an outside play area / outdoor classroom.

We provide on-site wraparound care during term time for children at St Charles’ Catholic Primary School. We also offer a holiday club.

At Jellytots pre-school our aim is to make sure children feel a self of worth and are encouraged and excited to learn through play to develop good friendships and social skills in readiness for school. 

Kingston Park Playgroup is an Ofsted registered playgroup located inside Kingston Park Community Centre. We are close to Kingston Park Metro station and shopping centre. We have a large space and a lovely all weather outdoor area.

We are an OFSTED registered pre-school setting with a Good outcome, based within Fawdon Community Centre offering 2 and 3 year funded places.

Plantpots Playgroup/Preschool is an Ofsted registered nursery for children aged 2-5 years. Based at the Great Park Community Centre in Gosforth.

A quality wraparound and holiday childcare club where your children can have fun, be safe, play with friends before school, after school and during the school holidays.

Our aim is to create the best starting point for your child’s education in a happy friendly environment.

We have a well resourced main room which houses all our resources ie small world toys, building blocks, large/ small cars, garages, castles, dolls houses, chalk boards, a large range of arts and crafts material and equipment, jigsaws for varying ages and abilities, musical instruments, home corner, library area, computer area and changing area.

Free play where children choose from several activities. Healthy snack time. Song time. Physical activity time. Story time. Circle time. Indoor and outdoor play. Computer room. Gardening.

This pre-school playgroup opened in February 2015 for children from 2 years to school age.
