Newcastle Youth Choir

Newcastle Youth Choir is an exciting youth choir open to young people aged 10-18, whether they are complete beginners to singing or experienced singers in or outside of school. 

Through the course of the year, we learn a wide variety of different styles of music in our regular rehearsals. We also prepare for a number of public performances. 

It’s a fantastic opportunity to make new friends from different school environments and develop musicianship skills including reading musical notation and sight singing. There are opportunities for solo singing and group leading. 

Every session starts with a lively and effective vocal warm-up to enable us to get the most out of our voices. We also learn rounds and part songs and there is plenty of opportunity to explore vocal harmony.
