Locally, Kinship has two peer support groups in Newcastle.

Kinship is the largest national charity for Kinship Carers. They provide advice, support and signposting on all matters relating to Kinship Care.  

You can call their free helpline or attend a local support group (see above).  You can also take part in their free in person and online workshops.

This organisation supports and represents black kinship carers.  They offer online support groups.  In person events are in the southern regions only.

This national charity supports families involved with the child welfare and family justice system. 

They have a specific section on their website for kinship carers. They also have a Kinship online forum.
