LGBTQIA+ support in Newcastle

For children, young people and families

Everyone deserves to feel safe, accepted and able to be themselves.

In Newcastle, there is support for children and young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual or questioning (LGBTQIA+), and for the families who care about them. Whether you’re looking for advice, friendship, someone to talk to, or a welcoming space where you can just be you, help is available across the city and in neighbouring areas.

You are not alone — and you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself.

  • Support for your child’s wellbeing
  • Somewhere to talk openly as a family

There are Newcastle‑based organisations that support parents and carers alongside young people, helping families feel confident, connected and supported.
