About us
1st Staff has provided therapeutic and educational services since 2014, supporting children and young people to reintegrate into mainstream education, further education, training, or employment. Our approach removes barriers to learning, rebuilds confidence, and provides structured transitions into appropriate educational pathways.
We offer tailored, Virtual one-to-one and small-group tuition, allowing students to regain confidence in their learning at a pace that suits their needs. This is complemented by our mentoring and therapeutic services, helping students develop the emotional resilience necessary for long-term success.
Our curriculum includes:
1st Staff offers a wide range of therapeutic and educational services for all ages, including the following:
- Early Years: Foundation work, motor skills, and therapeutic services.
- English and Maths: KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, functional skills (93% of
- students achieved a pass in both English and Maths), and GCSE
- English, Maths and Science.
- Therapeutic services: Thrive SEMH service for all ages.
- Registered Pearson Exam Centre: Able to facilitate functional skills exams.
- Vocational Courses including ARTS Awards / ASDAN.
- Mentoring: Personal guidance to support students’ social, emotional and academic development.
- Reintegration: Supporting students transitioning back into mainstream or moving to further education, training or employment.
- Post 16 Support: Employability skills and assistance in further education or employment
- Early intervention: Proven success in reducing permanent exclusions by supporting pupils at risk through early interventions in mainstream schools.
These services are available face-to-face, virtually, at home, in community centres, or in schools, ensuring flexibility to support successful reintegration.
1st Staff is an approved provider for over 25 local authorities, holding both framework and block contracts, demonstrating our strong reputation and expertise, across England
How to access
Please complete referral form and send young person’s EHCP if relevant. We offer 1:1 or 2:1 outreach tuition in the community, in the family home or online.
How we deliver
We provide a maximum tuition of 15 hours per week.
How we report attendance
Attendance is reported real time via our software and monitored daily.
