Welcome to Bill Quay Farm with Bill Quay Training LTD our programmes are an introduction to life on the farm and to the additional areas that are required for developing social and employability skills. We are a therapeutic farm on 27 acres of farmland in Gateshead.

About us

Bill Quay Training offer various qualifications in the following areas should they be required:

  • Qualifications: Animal Care Assistant–Learner’s work towards a NOCN Level 1 Certificate in Skills for Employment Training and Personal Development (Animal Care route) correctly. After successful completion learners/young people can progress to a Diploma or Level 2.
  • Horticulture - Learners will work towards an NOCN Level 1 Certificate in Skills for Employment Training and Personal Development (Horticulture route) successful completion learners/young people you can progress to a Diploma or Level 2.
  • Facilities Management Assistant – Learner’s work towards an NOCN Level 1 Certificate in Skills for Employment Training and Personal Development (Facilities management route), 

Regardless of which route chosen from above; mandatory units are included in each course, such as:

  • Health and Safety
  • Group and Teamwork Communication Skills
  • Time management skills: 
  • Aspects of Citizenship: 
  • We offer NOCN Maths and English skills which are pathway qualification ideal to prepare you to progress to Functional Skills.
  • NOCN Functional Skills from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2

Our qualifications are for young people from aged 14+

Impact, Outcomes and Key Performance Indicators

Learners complete a daily log sheet to track progress against targets this information is fed back to the schools as per their system/process
