I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I attained my 4th 'Outstanding' grade at my last inspection which was in January 2020. I have two level 3 qualifications relating to childcare, and through training I have become an accredited childminder. I have been childminding for 22 years.

I offer a warm, home from home environment where children are made to feel welcome, respected and valued. I have a large area that I use for childminding which is light, airy, clean and comfortable. I have an enclosed, child friendly garden, with outdoor toys and resources, which offers opportunities for outdoor play at the opening of a door.

I have a wide variety of toys, games, puzzles, books and craft resources for children of all ages. I provide activities such as: story reading, singing, art and crafts, water/sand play and lots more, to support children to move forward in all areas of their development. I take children on regular outings to playgroups to give opportunities to socialise and make friends. We also visit places such as the: park, library, soft play, Laing art gallery, Great North museum and Pets corner (Jesmond Dene). We are very lucky to have a lovely bridle path just 2 minutes walk from the house and this offers opportunities for children to feed the ducks, have safe walks, see wild life and get fresh air and exercise.

I work in partnership with parents to ensure that my childcare service provides continuity of care to the children and meets the individual needs of families.
