Maries childminding

I have over 20 years of experience working in schools, preschools, nurseries, before and after school clubs with children aged 0-11. I registered as a childminder in High Heaton in 2019 and was Ofsted rated good in November 2021.

I provide a home from home environment, catering to children and parents individual needs. I specialise in Early years and I have many childcare qualifications, I attend all the relevant related courses keeping these up to date.
I live in close proximity to Cragside school and the local preschools in High Heaton.
I provide full day care, before and after school or preschool/nursery care, holiday care or term time only for children from birth -11. My opening hours are 07:30-6:00 daily.

I take the children on outings to parks, the coast, museums and toddler groups providing a varied range of experiences, activities and interactions.

I have a good size garden with outdoor toys and a purpose-built playhouse, mud kitchen and fairy garden for the children to play and explore. I have lots of resources in the house to do arts and crafts, stories, lego, board games and imaginative play. I follow children’s interests/themes of all ages in my planning. I create lots of opportunities for learning and play following the early years framework.

I accept all government-approved payment schemes such as tax-free childcare and vouchers, and also offer 9 month, 2, 3 and four-year-old funding.
