The Cedars Nursery

The Cedars Nursery was first opened in 2002, and in that time we have created a warm and welcoming environment where our children can thrive and be enthusiastic about their own learning and development.

We are a large Victorian mansion which is set in its own grounds, we are very fortunate to have extensive fully enclosed, safe and secure, outdoor, space which includes a nature trail, large wooded area and well-kept lawns where the children can learn about the natural environment and enjoy activities on a larger scale which are better suited for the outdoors.

We are closed between Christmas and New Year and on bank holidays - we do not charge for days when we are closed.

We are on the corner of the West Road and Grainger Park road and have a large car park. We have an incredible outdoor space complete with mud kitchens, teepees, swings and slides, water play, sand trays, digging areas and a specialist area for our under 1s.

Our ethos is plenty of time outside at all times of the year and we follow the Curiosity Approach; we use lots of natural materials, sensory activities, and safe household items to promote open ended play mixed in with a healthy balance of more classic cause-and-effect toys.
