St Marks Catholic Primary School, Westerhope

At St Mark’s our Mission is to promote a sense of self-worth through an understanding that each one of us is precious to God. We will achieve this through providing a quality education in a happy and secure environment, developing relationships of trust within a Christ centred community.

St. Mark’s is a one form entry Catholic primary school on the edge of Westerhope and Newbiggin Hall in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are part of the St. Mark’s Parish and celebrate Mass with Fr. O’Kane and the local parishioners.

As a school we have worked hard to develop an exciting, relevant, skills based curriculum for our children. We have regular themed learning weeks when our children work in pastoral groups on a range of different topics. Our themed weeks are a source of great excitement in school and staff and children are always planning the next one!

We are a very active school and have a wide range of after school activities for children to take part in. We also take part in lots of different sporting competitions both in the city and further afield.
