RESPECT

It is important to understand individual needs without judgement. This might include having access to products, adjustments to activities or having open conversations.

Some top tips:

  • Be mindful of comments that you make around 'mood swings' or 'time of the month'
  • Everyone experiences periods differently, be aware of this
  • Periods are painful - respect this
  • Offer support for those who might need it - a cup of tea, a hot water bottle, or a bar of chocolate could really make a difference
  • Open conversations about what a person might need to help them
