Being part of the community

Being part of the community means feeling welcome, connected and included. This can make people happier. It can also make our city a great and exciting place to live.

We want everyone, no matter their needs, to get involved and do the things that matter to them. This could include:

  • sharing their views and having them respected
  • giving suggestions and feedback on SEND services
  • taking part in events and activities

You can find all the different opportunities and support to take part on this page.

You can also visit Newcastle Youth for more information.

Helping SEND voices be heard

Our SEND voice team helps with communication around SEND. They make sure there are opportunities for everyone to share their thoughts. We call this getting it right together.

This team is led by Vicki with support from Lucy and Daniel, our SEND Youth Voice Trainees.
