Support for Newcastle Kinship Carers

We can offer support to all kinship carers living in Newcastle. We can support you if you live somewhere else and care for a Newcastle child.

Our support includes: 

  • Email newsletters. Join our mailing list here.
  • Local Kinship carer events and workshops.
  • Family focused events, like our annual Christmas party.
  • Newcastle Kinship Care Facebook Group. 
  • Signposting into other services.

You may like to join our Kinship Carer Forum too. Be the voice of Kinship carers in our area.

Kinship Zone

Newcastle is part of the Kinship Zone Pilot. You may be eligible for a Kinship Allowance. Support is also available to help families stay together.

Support for Unpaid Carers

Does someone depend on you to provide care?  You may be an unpaid carer.  Extra support is available.
