Employment and Skills

Depending on your age there are different services can support you with employment and training opportunities in Newcastle. Newcastle Carers Team can support you if you are under 18, or under 25 if you have special educational needs or a disability. Work and Thrive can support you if you are over 18.

The Newcastle careers and guidance team support young people aged 13-19. The friendly team, are there to help you or your child make the right decisions about next steps. they can help with things like; 

  • What to do after year 11
  • Finding and applying for jobs, including CV's and interviews  
  • Apprenticeships and traineeships
  • Changing jobs or training
