Make your own willow bird feeder

Great creative and make your own willow bird feeder!

This relaxed and hands-on willow bird feeder making session offers you the chance to get creative, learn a new skill and take a break from your caring role.

In this workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step by a member of the team from Northumberland Wildlife Trust to make your willow bird feeder – no previous experience is needed and all materials will be provided.

We’ll also learn more about willow and weaving techniques, and why it’s important for nature. At the end of the session, you can take your bird feeder home to enjoy watching wildlife from your garden or outside space.

For the last 30 minutes of this session, join us for a visit around Ouseburn Farm to see the animals and nature.

• Carers must make their own way to the meeting point for this session – the entrance to Ouseburn Farm at 10am.
• Please arrive on time so you’re able to participate in the activity.
• Wear clothes and shoes suitable for visiting a farm, which you don’t mind getting dirty.
• Ouseburn Farm is fully accessible for wheelchairs, has disabled parking and adapted toilets.
• This activity involves dexterity and using simple tools; help will be available from the friendly instructors if needed.
