Financial Support
The funding is for kinship families with a legal order in place. These legal orders are:
- a Special Guardianship Order (SGO)
- a Child Arrangements Order (CAO)
- a Residence Order (RO)
These may have been made privately or by the local authority.
You can also apply if you live in Newcastle and are in:
- private court proceedings for an SGO or CAO, and
- you’ve passed the First Hearing Dispute Resolution Appointment (FHDRA)
You can ask your solicitor about this, if you’re unsure.
