Preparing a young person for work starts with increasing independence. This is why from nursery we:
- use a support plan based on the child's needs
- understand what matters to them
- use short-term and long-term goals and aspirations.
From Year 9, there is an increased focus on employability. The table below shows the ways a young person can be prepared for employment.
