Special schools

These schools are for students with complex special educational needs. Students who attend have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Not all students with an EHCP will need to attend a special school.

All staff are trained and experienced in supporting students with complex SEND. Class sizes are also smaller than in mainstream schools.

You can share your preference for a special school during an EHC needs assessment or EHCP review
