Our SEND Home to School Transport Service can help children and young people that have a:
- Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
- SEND statement
- physical disability or mobility problem (including temporary conditions)
- special school or special educational setting (agreed with Newcastle City Council)
- medical condition
- disability causes significant problems with their behaviour
We can also provide discretionary travel support for:
- children under 5 with SEND travelling to nurseries or primary school
- young people over the age of 16 who access further education
Not all children with an EHCP or who attend a special school will need SEND travel assistance. Each child’s needs and situation are different. We will look at each child and application individually.
