Children North East Best Winter Ever 2025

Please join us for festive fun at the Cowgate Centre. We will be:

• baking
• craft making
• playing indoor and outdoor games
• and enjoying healthy food together.

We listen to our families, we welcome everyone, we work together to help and improve children and their families lives.

This is a warm, caring and kind place to be because: 

• we have a quiet/calm space for children and young people to chill out in,
• we offer small group work and activities,
• parents/carers are welcome to have a pre-visit and to discuss individual needs prior to the activities,
• the Cowgate Centre welcomes all babies, children, young people, families and professionals. We offer a range of group activities, responsive programmes, drop-in sessions and a community café, Café Hope. 

We also have an accessible toilet on the premises. 

The Department of Education Holiday Activity Fund programme is to support young people aged 4-16 attending Newcastle City Councils schools that are eligible for Free Schools Meals or in need during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
