In this workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step by a member of the team from Northumberland Wildlife Trust to make your objects, decorations or art pieces out of clay – no previous experience is needed and all materials will be provided.
Before crafting, we’ll enjoy a gentle walk together around Heaton Park to explore shapes and textures in nature. We’ll use flowers and plants to imprint and create artworks on the clay. During the crafting session, light refreshments will be served. At the end of the session, you can take your clay crafts home.
Join us on Thursday 25 June 2026, 10.30am – 12noon at Heaton Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 5JS. You’ll be informed of our exact meeting point closer to the time.
Please note:
- Let us know if you’ll be making your own way to Heaton Park, or would prefer to walk with Newcastle Carers’ staff from our Centre in Byker.
- Please arrive on time so you’re able to participate in the activity.
- Wear clothes and shoes suitable for visiting the park and doing crafting, which you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Carers should ensure they’re able to walk around the park at a gentle pace.
Spaces are limited for this session and booking is essential. To book your place, please get in touch with us by Thursday 18 June. You can call our Carers Information Line on 0191 275 5060 or email info@newcastlecarers.org.uk. Please let us know of any allergies/dietary requirements when booking.
