Our Summer Dance Intensive offers a week of dance, creativity and performance for children and young people. Led by professional choreographer, Michael Heatley, dancers will spend the week learning new skills. They will be creating original movement and working together to make a brand new performance piece to share with family and friends at the end of the week. Whether your young person already loves to dance, or is keen to try something new, this is a welcoming space to build confidence, make friends and be part of a creative team.

Each morning will begin at 10:00 and finish at approximately 15:00. On the days of trips the timings may be slightly different but this will be communicated well in advance.
The day is split into morning and afternoon activities. The mornings will be fun, interactive and creative activities. Such as: drones, coding, building towers, games, arts, gardening and languages.

A free, weekly theatre group for people with a learning disability and autistic people aged 16+ who live in Newcastle. Take part in community projects, live events, and outreach workshops.

Everyday we have different activities in our zones.
Active zone - including sport, hip hop dancing, inflatables, forest activities, contemporary dance, martial arts, circus skills and more.
Nourish zone - Area focused on learning to cook from scratch and learn more about food and nutrition.
Creation zone - activities such as graffiti, arts and crafts, woodwork, rock bank, DJing skills, science workshops, Ukelele workshops, singing and much more.

We're back this Summer with our Holiday Club. Sessions are for children aged 5–12. Children attend without their grown-ups (sorry adults!). We run sessions at Benwell Nature Reserve. Sessions run from 10am to 2pm. You can book single days or multiple days. Your child can take part in: fire lighting whittling and tool use den building woodland crafts nature walks and exploring games and team activities Each day, children help prepare and cook food on the fire. This builds confidence and independence.

EMTEP's HYPE (Helping Young People Evolve) HAF Summer 2026 programme for ages 8-16yrs provides enrichment, physical activity, alongside informal learning of healthy eating and balanced lifestyles. Hype provides both centre-based and outdoor activities. These include educational support, self-development workshops, group activities sports, team games, excursions, and trips. All is underpinned by EMTEP’s mentoring and befriending engagement with positive BAME role models.
