EVRY Christmas Campaign 2025

During the 2024 festive season, Newcastle City Council, Evry partners and Newcastle residents came together to spread Christmas magic to children and young people. With your valued support, over 1,800 gifts, all wrapped by volunteers, were donated for Care Leavers and Children in Need. In addition, over 1,500 free tickets were distributed to major festive events and experiences.

Building on this success, we are now preparing for the Christmas 2025 campaign. Our goal is to bring even more joy and opportunity to children and families across Newcastle this Christmas.

There are a range of ways this can be done, from donations and volunteering to event sponsorship and collaborative initiatives.

 Young People’s Christmas Wishlist

Newcastle Care Leavers aged 18–25 have created an Amazon Wishlist filled with winter essentials and festive gifts. Each item has been chosen to meet real needs and bring joy during the holiday season.
If you would like to purchase a gift directly for a young person, this can be done using the link below.

Gift Vouchers

Vouchers for supermarkets, clothing stores, or leisure activities offer flexibility and dignity, allowing young people to choose what they need most. These are especially appreciated by Care Leavers and families facing financial hardship, to help them feel supported and empowered during the festive season.

If you would like to donate vouchers, please get in touch at voice@newcastle.gov.uk. We’d be happy to guide you on what’s most needed.

Gift Giving Christmas Trees

Newcastle City Council colleagues are invited to support the Gift Giving Christmas Trees initiative.
Trees will be located at Civic Centre (3rd lift end), Westgate, and Benton Park House. To take part, simply choose a tag from the tree, which represents a young person, and return with a thoughtful gift placed in a gift bag.

Festive Activities and Events

Newcastle is home to many magical festive events and experiences. If your organisation is hosting or delivering a seasonal activity, please consider offering free tickets to children and families who may not otherwise have the opportunity to take part.

“Can I just say how much of a wonderful time we had last night, personally I've not laughed so hard for a very long time - tears were streaming! But also, for my daughter who was so happy to be there and loved every minute of it.”
A family who attended the Theatre Royal Pantomime with a free Evry ticket in 2024

“The event was thoughtfully delivered- staff went above and beyond to meet the diverse needs of children with SEND, language barriers, and hearing impairments, creating a joyful experience that families deeply appreciated.”

With your help, we can:

  • Ensure every Care Leaver and more Children in Need receives a thoughtful, wrapped gift
  • Provide access to festive experiences that create lasting memories
  • Show our city’s young people that they are seen, valued, and supported

If your organisation is able to support any of these opportunities please contact voice@newcastle.gov.uk to find out more.

Please note: the final date for donations is Friday 5th December 2025.
