Evry Work Experience Week

We’re proud to share the impact of our latest project, tackling the lack of meaningful work experience for young people in Newcastle. By connecting students from three local secondary schools with a diverse range of employers, we’ve helped them build practical skills, boost their confidence, and explore exciting career paths.

Who did we support?

Our initiative focused on making opportunities accessible for everyone, especially young people who face extra barriers, like those who are care-experienced, have SEND, or come from underrepresented backgrounds. This reflects Evry’s commitment to inclusion and equity.

🔗 What did we achieve?

  • 104 new work experience placements created
  • 91 placements successfully completed
  • 11 partner organisations involved, showing the power of cross-sector collaboration

The project resulted in many meaningful and productive experiences for students. We’re grateful to everyone who made this possible!

“My experience has been absolutely brilliant, I am over the moon and very honoured to have this experience. This experience has taught me many things that will definitely come in handy in the future. Now, I want to be a social worker."
- Daniel, Year 10, Jesmond Park Academy.
