Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Support, Assessment and Review Team (SEND SAR)

The SEND Support, Assessment and Review (SAR) Team is made up of a team of SEN caseworkers who are supported by Business Support Officers, Service Improvement Assistants and Senior Practitioners.

They help manage Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) including assessments and annual reviews.

They do this by:

  • managing EHC assessment and annual review paperwork.
  • writing and updating a child or young person's EHCP
  • communicating with and updating parents, carers and young people
  • collecting and sharing advice and reports from professionals during an EHC assessment
  • updating information about a child or young person on our system
  • and much more

The team will support you throughout the whole journey – from the first assessment to when a plan is no longer needed.

You work with families you might find it useful to visit our SEND SAR - Service to Schools page.
