Amplify
Amplify is a new project from Newcastle City Council’s Voice and Influence Team. It’s all about listening to young people across the city and making sure your ideas help shape real change.
Every 6–8 weeks, we’ll run fun, interactive workshops in schools and youth groups. These sessions will cover different themes, give you space to share your views, and make sure your feedback leads to action.
If your school has a student council or leadership group, this is a great way to get involved. Youth groups can join too—so everyone’s voice is heard.
Why take part? Because your opinions matter. What you say will help shape the future of the Youth Council and other youth-led projects in Newcastle.

Advocacy
Your voice matters!
If you’re a child in care or a child in need in Newcastle, we’re here to help. You have the right to speak up—and we’ll make sure that happens.
Advocacy is all about supporting you to share your views and make choices about your life. Having an advocate can:
- Explain your rights in a way that makes sense
- Support you to make decisions that matter to you
- Help you speak up about the things that are important to you
