Our ukulele group is designed for children who may have started exploring the ukulele in school during whole class sessions and would like to progress further, perhaps alongside more experienced players. It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends from other schools and work together to create some fantastic arrangements of music, featuring a wide variety of different styles.
A space for girls to make friends, have fun and learn about the world. Children under 8 must be signed in.
Playing Steel Pans is a great way to make new friends & play fun songs without needing to be able to read music! You'll learn a varied mix of music from traditional Caribbean, 60's Rock 'n' Roll, 80' pop classics to modern chart toppers. We welcome young people from Year 5 upwards.
The group leader is Louise Brydon, the Music Director from the Newcastle All Stars Steel Orchestra, one of the longest running Steel Bands in the North East.
