EVRY- A city united for babies, children and young people

The Evry plan brings together partners in the city to create transformative change with babies, children, and young people. 

The Evry plan launched in July 2022.   Following a city-wide consultation, involving approximately 2,000 0-25 year olds across every ward in the city. 

 Together we want Newcastle to be a place where every baby, child and young person can:

  • Feel happy and healthy 
  • Feel safe 
  • Feel ready for their next steps 
  • Be heard.

Student on work experience

Young people have told us that fair access to exciting and meaningful work experience matters to them. 

In July 2025, we supported a targeted cohort of Year 10 students with offer experience placements across the Council and with Evry partner organisations.

Children and young people told us they want more things to do, more places to go and more access to affordable activities.  

Since the launch of Evry, partners responsible for major events in Newcastle have offered thousands of free tickets to children and young people across the city.

Evry Travel

With Nexus and bus operators, the Young People’s transport scheme provides care experienced young people and young carers with free travel across the city via metro, bus, ferry, and rail.

Evry fitness and leisure

At Better venues, GLL offer free Health and Fitness memberships to care experienced young people aged 16-21.  They also offer reduced rate access to leisure activities for foster care families.

Evry Partners are committed to sharing Christmas magic to children and young people. Evry Partners work together with the City Council and Newcastle residents to collect Christmas gifts and increase access to festive experiences for Children in Need and Care Leavers.
