Staying healthy is important for everyone. People with autism or a learning disability might need more help
The learning disability register might be helpful. It can give extra health support from a general practitioner (GP). This support includes:
- an Annual Health Check from the age of 14 and older
- a Health Action Plan
- NHS Flu vaccine
- NHS COVID-19 vaccine

Newcastle Community Learning Disability Team (NHS)
This team works with adults diagnosed with a learning disability who find it hard to use mainstream services. We work with people who have specific mental health, physical health or behaviours that challenge due to their learning disability.

Skills for people have many groups and workshops. They are great for health, wellbeing and connecting with others. Some of these include:

- social groups that look at different health related topics
