You can apply for SEND Travel Support by either:
- completing the form on Citizen Portal
- completing a paper copy of the form which you can request by email

We aim to arrange transport as soon as it is needed. Please know this can often take up to 10 working days.
After looking at your application, we will either approve or decline your application. You have the right to appeal the decision.
How often do I need to apply?
If you start receiving travel assistance, you will need to do one of the following:
- Complete the 'Contact and needs' form each year if:
- staying at the school or educational setting
- there are no other changes
- Submit a new application as soon as possible when:
- changing schools
- moving to a new home
Submitting a new application is needed so that we can:
- check you or your child are still eligible
- make transport arrangements based on the changes
What if I am unsure which school me or my child will go to?
Please do not worry if you are unsure. If eligible, travel support will still be given.
