EMTEP's HYPE (Helping Young People Evolve) HAF Spring 2026 programme for ages 8-16yrs provides enrichment, physical activity, alongside informal learning of healthy eating and balanced lifestyles. Hype provides both centre-based and outdoor activities. These include educational support, self-development workshops, group activities sports, team games, excursions, and trips. All is underpinned by EMTEP’s mentoring and befriending engagement with positive BAME role models.
Trampoline park / soft play family fun and food. Come and join the Healthworks team for a fun filled session.
This is open to 5-16 years and all young people must be accompanied by an adult.

The Department of Education Holiday Activity Fund programme is to support young people aged 4-16 attending Newcastle City Councils schools that are eligible for Free Schools Meals or in need during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
Children aged 5 - 10, Come along on Thursday mornings to our community garden get your hands busy for some fun craft / nature activities and outdoor sports.

Fun activities to support babies communication and language development, for 0 - 23 month olds.
Come along and chat to a Health Visitor. Ask any questions about bottle feeding , breast feeding and weaning.
We offer a range of offsite activities including: swimming, trampolining, horse-riding, parks, assault courses. We provide a nutritious packed lunch with fresh ingredients. We use a mini bus to transport children and young people to the activity.
These sessions are open to young people from 8 - 18 years who are already current users of the project.
We’re running Easter sessions for local kids. You can join us for games, crafts, and time outdoors. We also take short trips to places nearby. The sessions are free and include a free lunch for children who get free school meals. Each session lasts 4 hours. Trips need to be booked and your consent before we go. We keep things friendly and calm so the kids can relax and enjoy the day.

Our ukulele group is designed for children who may have started exploring the ukulele in school during whole class sessions and would like to progress further, perhaps alongside more experienced players. It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends from other schools and work together to create some fantastic arrangements of music, featuring a wide variety of different styles.
Playing Steel Pans is a great way to make new friends & play fun songs without needing to be able to read music! You'll learn a varied mix of music from traditional Caribbean, 60's Rock 'n' Roll, 80' pop classics to modern chart toppers. We welcome young people from Year 5 upwards.
The group leader is Louise Brydon, the Music Director from the Newcastle All Stars Steel Orchestra, one of the longest running Steel Bands in the North East.

Junior After School Group for ages 8-11 years. Activities include: cooking, sport, homework and games.
Folk Band is a mixed instrumental ensemble designed for young people aged 7-13. Whether you know just three or four notes on your instrument, or you are an experienced player, you will enjoy working together to create some energetic arrangements of famous folk tunes.
During rehearsals, you will have the opportunity to develop your musicianship further with plenty of opportunity to explore sight reading and ensemble skills. Students are given sheet music for their own parts to take home and practice.
